I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, my Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.

I am an Associate Member of the River Gallery, Independence, Oregon, and a member of the Salem Art Association. 
 
I have written historical articles for automotive magazines, was once the U.S. parts dealer for the Messerschmitt microcar, have fronted two rock-and-roll bands, and am five-time winner of the Oregon Old-Time Fiddlers Association Senior Championship.
 
I live in Salem, Oregon with my artist-wife, Jo.
